5. More Humor.
 
Here is Manjang again. Ramadan is often started after seeing the crescent, or after an announcement from the Supreme Islamic counsel governing the affairs of Muslims in a particular geographical area. In this particular year, of course fasting coincided with the rainy season accompanied by torrential rains, lasting dark clouds, thunder claps, lightening, et cetera...so crescent visibility is impossible except with the use of sophisticated instruments by astronauts or seamen. The thing with Manjangnyoo, he has to see the crescent with his naked eye to commence fast. Until now, Manjangnyoo is waiting to see a crescent in those dark clouds, and yet to commence fast.
 
6. “Waa teen, waa zaituunee-by the figs and the olives.” 
 
Manjangnyoo misinterprets this verse during Ramadan to fill the refrigerator with fruits. 
 
7. Manjangnyoo at dua’/prayer.
 
“God give me wealth; give me health; give me wives, give me wives; give me wives; give me children; give me food; give me food; give me food;  give me fruits; give me clothes; give me heaven; give me honor; give me shelter….ameen.”
 
8. Manjangnyoo at politics.
 
“Bring the bags of rice in exchange for our votes. We won’t know democracy. All we know here is rice-cracy, water-cracy, cloth-cracy, et cetera…”
