Hi Listmates,

Last Sunday my daughter-in-law became ill with a bad stomach virus and ended up at the ER.  Before she was released, my son also became ill.  I travelled a couple of hours to watch the children, (two-year old grandson and two-month-old granddaughter) until the parents were recovered.  The two-year-old also got the virus, and thirty-six hours after arriving, I was vomiting violently and having explosive diarrhea.   All of my son’s family have recovered, but I am still having problems with diarrhea if I eat anything.  It has been four days since I became ill.  I have been gluten-free for more than five years.  Does the fact that I have celiac disease make it harder for me to recover?   Any suggestions about the best things to drink and eat?  - Shirley in Alabama
