I recently wanted to order more cosmetics and I asked the rep about gluten
ingredients; she asked the medical department for the information, and this
was the answer:

.         MARY KAY COSMETICS

      There are certain ingredients in Mary Kay Cosmetics that may contain
gluten and should be avoided.  The medical dept. sent me a list. Some terms
are obvious that they contain gluten (barley or wheat), but others are not.
Be advised the following may contain gluten and should be avoided.

   Barley
Hydrolyzed Whole Wheat Protein

      Dextrins
Sunflower Seed Oil Glycerides

      Hydrogenated Soy Glycerides                             Wheat Amino
Acids

      Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides                           Wheat Bran
Extract

      Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides                           What Extract

      Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Glycerides                Wheat Germ
Glycerides

      Hydrogenated Vegetable oil                                 Wheat Germ
Glycerides

      Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein                                    Wheat Germ
Glycerides

      Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein                                    Wheat Germ
Oil

      Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Hydroxpropyl

      Polysiloxane

      Maltodextrin



Additionally,

n  Alcohol and Alcohol Denat: Can be either synthetic or derived from a
grain source.

n  Colorants:  Mya utilize a grain ingredient in the manufacturing process.

n  Citric Acid:  May utilize a grain ingredient in the manufacturing
process.

n  Oat Flour:  Cross-contamination can occur during processing of oat and
wheat.

n  Glycerides, Diglycerides, and tRiglycerides:  May contain a potentially
wheat-related carbohydrate chain used as a binding substance in their
preparation.

n  Flavor/Flavour/Natural Flavoring:  Products containing flavors should be
avoided.

The ingredients of any May Kay product can be found on each individual
product's packaging, asrequired by law in the U.S.  Please refer to product
packaging for ingredient listings.
