Praying, sharon. Soundsole the discomfort you thpphad was a product of caution necessary in our society. It doesn't seem like you are uncomfortable telking about God at all.

Subject: A Special Encounter

Hi all!

I have something to tell you about, that I need prayer for.  This morning, as we girls waited for our caregivers to come from their church service, a man came up to us, saying (if I heard correctly) that The Lord led him to come and talk to us.  In the course of our conversation, it was mentioned that I play musical instruments.  He then revealed that he belongs to a group of musicians, and that they play by ear, not as other musicians do.  I said that I play by ear also, and asked him how I could get there.  He said that his wife can drive me there.  He told us how the musicians are drawn by The Lord, and that they play as He leads, not wanting to get ahead of Him, that they only play Christian music, for Him.

I've always had a sort of desire to have a group to jam with, but I'm not sure what to make of this.  It doesn't seem to be church-afiliated, just a small group of about nine or ten.  And the way he talks about The Lord.  I know, of course, that we can't talk enough about Jesus; as He is limitlessly wonderful and past finding out.  But when someone talks about Him in our very first encounter, such as when this man said that I can see more than others can see because of my blindness, and asked me what I can see about him, and the description about how the musicians interact with The Lord, I don't feel very comfortable.  What do you think about this kind of conversation?  I will tell you that he had broken his neck, and that he had-or did have-a 50-50% chance of survival (I didn't understand it all).  Perhaps that is why he wants to talk so deeply about Jesus.  I'd like for you to pray for wisdom, and that The Lord will continue to remove the garbage in my life so that I won't feel uncomfortable about God anymore; that He will help me to remember that He is the One who understands where I come from, and that I don't have to allow my other brothers and sisters in Christ to make me afraid and feel hopeless.  I would appreciate this very much.

Thank you all for your support!

Sharon
