I just want to share a wonderful experience I had downtown today. Water
Tower Place mall has a food court – located in the food court is a full
service restaurant – Mighty Nice Grill. I know the food court has a GF menu
with limited options. When we decided to eat at the restaurant I asked the
Hostess at the Mighty Nice Grill if they also had a GF menu. She stated
they did not have a menu but the manager would discuss the menu with me and
they would alter anything I wanted to be GF. I am sure many of you know that
tensed up feeling - is this going to work? As we sat down the manager was
immediately at my side. He asked me to review the full menu and decide what
I would like. They would be happy to alter whatever entrée I wanted, he even
offered the dinner steak menu if I would prefer that. He explained how the
chicken was marinated, how they could prepare any burger without the bun and
without cross contamination. Both he and our waitress assured me the staff
is very aware of all food allergies. I chose the chicken waldorf salad. The
manager twice checked ingredients – in the salad dressing to make sure apple
cider vinegar was OK and checked how the toasted walnuts were made. As I
ordered the waitress completed a bright colored piece of paper as an “alert
order” stating the kitchen staff was aware of the cross contamination with
preparation. As we all completed ordering the waitress once again assured
me I could just sit back and enjoy my lunch that both she and the manager
would oversee my order. My order was brought out separately as to not be
contaminated by the other orders at our table. The food was excellent, so
was the service. They have a full serve bar, linen table clothes and
napkins. Just a great and worry free experience. I can’t wait to go back
again!

Health & Happiness to All,

Lynn
