whenever I encounter a file extension I don't know, I Google it along with 
the phrase,"file extension." I've pasted one of the result links below. 
Though several possibilities are listed, the most likely one seems to be 
Clarion for Dos files, which may appear on a Windows computer as the result 
of a broken association in the registry.
