the only way to make a music file smaller is to convert it to a smaller file
type. Last week I had to email two short recordings and a couple of doc
files. I converted the wav files to mp3, which made them much, much smaller
(from 19 mb to 3 mb). Then I made a new folder, put the mp3 and doc files in
it, and compressed the whole thing. The compressed zip folder was a little
over 3 mb, so clearly only the doc files were made smaller.
