Hello Leslie and others :

If  you are not looking for anything fancy, just a heavy dot:

Type an * asterisks, then space or tab then type your text press enter, the 
next bullet will appear on the next line. Repeat as many times as you need.

To end the bulleting backspace to get rid of the last bullet

Automatic numbering works the same way.
