I discovered that this thread needed a more meaningful subject.

As to how I have changed my thinking on this over the years, I used to love
the windows screen readers and I can and have learned how to use the
features I need and some I desire but have become disenchanted with them as
they became more complex due to the way windows opperates. I am all for
competition in the market place and I don't think that is going to end even
when microsoft does more to give us a helping hand.

As for supporting synthesizers and braille displays etc, that would be a
benefit, maybe for instance, that could be a module you purchase from a 3rd
party or done in some other way but either way, it is time for a total
microsoft os re-write.
