Tom:
Could it purely have been multi-path propagation?
I wouldn't have thought that 'something loose' would cause signals to sound
rough - intermittent possibly from time to time.

    Steve and all:

I was a bit limited today also. I have a KLM tribander on top of a 35-foot
tower here, but something must have come loose up there, because the CW
signals were very rough and distorted--almost like something wasn't making a

good electrical connection.

So, to save worrying about hurting anything, I moved to the Windom, which, I

think, did surprisingly well.
