I would say that my brailler hasn't been repaired in the last 15 to 20 years.  Back when it was well maintained, I could Braille over 100 words per minute.  People heard me brailling and said it was a constant noise and there was no way that anything was being written.  It is just the opposite.  All dots were there and really good.  I have slowed down by now but I bet I am still over 60 a minute.  All the brailling I used to do in high school and college.  I couldn't part with my old brailler no matter what.
