The service place assured me at various times that they would call
me when my laptop was ready, but when I called yesterday (because I
hadn't heard from them), it was ready and waiting -- no clue as to how
long. They gave me the original hard drive before I could ask, although
the SSD they replaced it with was only half that capacity, and while the
data files I was concerned about all seem to be present, somebody
installed Spotify...
And something's not righ with the built-in wireless, which shows
enabled but when I click on "Connect / Disconnect", I get a message
'"Wireless Interface" not found'.
At least it isn't BSODing any more, and it is perkier with the SSD,
but I may have to bring it in to the wired connection at work to update
eveyting and troubleshoot or replace the wireless adapter... (I've
already uninstalled Spotify.)
