Hello! Has anyone tried the gluten-free products from 1-800-Bakery? I use
them sometimes to send regular birthday cakes to relatives who are out of
state and wouldn't otherwise get a birthday cake on their birthday, but I just
noticed that they have a limited gluten-free line as well that they advertise
for celiacs, not just gluten intolerant. I wonder if the cakes are made in a
dedicated facility, otherwise I can't have them. Does anyone happen to know,
or have you ordered them and not had a problem?

Also, I'd like to know whether my 3 1/2 month old daugher carries the celiac
gene. My pediatrician didn't think it was necessary to order the genetic test,
and just wants to wait and see if there's any issue in the future. She
obviously has never been a celiac mom worried that she gave the gene to her
daugher. So... I ordered a kit from Kimball Genetics yesterday online. Has
anyone used the cheek swab? Any suggestions, or is it pretty easy to use,
send in and then wait for the results?

Thanks in advance, and I'll summarize any responses.

Katie
