I think someone may already have posted this point, but I would check
to see whether other colleagues in your office are also experiencing
sluggishness. If so, then the problem most likely is something about
your particular site's use of Outlook and not your AT.

Outlook slowness is not related to JAWS all the time. See my previous
message. There are some definite JAWS issues with Outlook but
sluggishness
is not one of them.

Hi,
I'm using Outlook 2007 at work, too, though we're not using Exchange
yet.
I, too, have noticed sluggishness, at times while composing messages,
but
especially when entering contacts. It's a real nuisance. I've told FS
about this, and, as expected, I was told that only one guy in their
testing
department has experienced this sluggishness. So, if others out there
are
experiencing sluggishness in Outlook 2007, they need to contact Freedom
Scientific tech support and let them know. Hopefully if enough people
yell
and scream about it something might get done about it.

By way of comparison, let's hear from Window-Eyes and Outlook 2007
users.
If people are having this trouble while using Window-Eyes, then perhaps
this

is another case of Microsoft bloatware at work.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Outlook 2007 Painfully Slow

Hi All:

Over the past two weeks, I've noticed that my Outlook 2007 has become
painfully slow. In particular, when creating tasks and when replying to
HTML e-mails.

When I'm creating tasks, and I tab to go from, say, subject to start
date, I can wait up to 10 seconds for JAWS to tell me I'm on the start
date field. When I'm replying to HTML e-mail messages, I often have to
wait 5 to 10 seconds for the enter keystroke to be acknowledged. If I
want to leave a blank line between paragraphs, if I go too fast, the
blank line doesn't get put in and I get a line break at some random
place.

Also, just now, I had to wait 10 to 15 seconds for a reminder to
display.

This is painful to say the least. I'm running Windows XP Professional,
with JAWS 10, Version 10.0.1154. We're on a Microsoft Exchange server.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
