You could try running it trough a UPS to see if that cleans up the
power, or you could go to Radio Shack, and buy a ground loop isolator
for about 15 dollars. They are made primarily for autos, but I have
successfully used them on a AC circuit. Finally, you could eliminate
the ground with an adaptor, which would probably be OK for short term use.
