hi kathy jo,
yyup, nobody wants to believe they are susepctable to arthritis and other nasty pains. I am sorry this happened to you. As folks with cp, we tend to overcomensate and force our bodies to do things, and the cp makes it harder to move in ways that the body was meant to.
Have you seen the doc? What kinds of treatment are you doing?
BTW: I have been making great progress because I've been doing water therapy with a great team of PT. I'm now walking much more at home, with a walker, and it has boosted my confidence considerably. these guys are the best in our area, i get 1 on 1 for 45 minutes. but now I'm about to graduate to independent swimming - i have a crush on my main PT, so I'll miss him, but I've learned a lot of good exercises and my helpers have learned them too so they can support me.
I also have had accupuncture as well as continue my feldenkrais lessons.
