I bought this phone in either January or February I don't remember.  The 
good thing is I have a GE cordless phone that I can use for back up.
I don't care for it but at least it works for now
You were speaking about the old cordless phones I remember one of the first 
ones I had.  some one sent me a list of cordless phone frequencies and one 
night I listened in on my Step daughters conversation over my scanner.
that was interesting.  I guess you can't do that today.
