I know people with some of those cable/phone/tv packages that the phone
won't work when the power's out believe it or not. My fios would if we used
the house phone but we all use cell phones and that's enough aggravation,
the house phone would put me in the loony bin. When I move out on my own I
might go back to vonage or voicewing possibly, but if my bills are tight as
I expect, that will be the first thing cut form the plan. Cell phone is
enough for me, and with t-mobile, I have the cim card so if that breaks or
something, I can switch to my backup phone fast. I get a new one when I
renew my contracts all the time but always keep the last one too just in
case of a problem with the current one.
