Hi, Kevin,

If Echolink requires you to install third-party software on the BrailleNote, 
then no, you can't do Echolink.

If you don't like the BrailleNote's speaker, you can plug in an external 
speaker.

The recorder is not one of the BrailleNote's strong points.
