Don,

Just pretend it is like working six meters.  You wait and wait and wait
until you think your rig is busted because nothing comes through but noise.
Then, wham! the band is open.  The FCC and the ARRL are going to be sorry
they dumped the code because that might be the only way we can ham for
awhile if things don't pick up on the surface of the sun literally, if you
get my drift.
