I think mine cost about $100 in 1971 and that was a big chunk of change back then.  The piece that is even with the keys and slightly under thm, where it meets the brailler is kind of missing a little piece.  I am sure it is scratched and scuffed but I think that just adds character.  It is truly a device that has remained the same over the years.
