I received only a few replies to my question about products for dry mouth that do not contain xylitol - which triggers a gluten-type reaction in me.
A couple of replies stated that they had no reaction to either sorbitol or xylitol, both found in Biotene mouthwash and toothpaste.
In the meantime I have found Clorsys products -- the most effective so far for me in terms of gums and moisture. (I have no connection to this company: Rowpar Pharmaceuticals.)
The mouthwash contains: purified water, trisodium phosphate, stabilized chlorine dioxide and citric acid. It comes with oil of peppermint flavoring to be added to taste.
The dry mouth spray contains:water, N&A Flavor, Polysorbate 20, Glycerin, Clorine Dioxide, Sodium Saccharin, Methol Paraben, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Benzoate. I had no adverse reaction to this spray.
Thayers makes a Dry Mouth spray with "Natural Lemon and Lime Flavors." I stay away from all natural flavors unless I know more precisely what they are, but I had no reaction to this product.
