There is an Outback on Route 1 (North) in Edison. Also, a Carraba's on
Route 18 in East Brunswick. Both are a decent driving distance. If there
is not a lot of traffic I would say it would take about 10 minutes to go to
each (different directions). Panerra Bread is not far. Route 1 South.
If you go south on Route 18 towards East Brunswick there are alot of
shopping centers and restaurants, mostly fastfood, some grocery stores and a
diner here and there. You are downtown in New Brunswick near Johnson &
Johnson's headquarters. There are also businesses across the river up route
27 north in Highland Park but it is a seedier area.
Not sure if this is close enough, but there is a Carabba's restaurant just
off Albany street (which is the next one after Livingston Ave). The
following link has a map, it might help:

Wegmans food store is 20 minutes away & has lots of gf food. Their website
lists all of the wegmans brand food yhat is gf...it is noted on the product
with a "G". There is an Outback steakhouse on Rt 18 in East BruNswick about
20 min away...slightly farther is a real find, Carlos Gourmet Pizza... It is
wonderful there and safe...they are in Marlboro...Google their gf menu...you
won't be disappointed
Also Diane Paley from
