John,

 

OK. With this extra info, and Mary being an audio and visual learner, I personally would check into the Idaho Virtual Academy first, because much of the work for that is done on the computer and forwarded that way to the "supervising" teacher. There should already be some people in the Challis area using it. I think the kids using IVA meet a couple of times a month for "field trips" and group learning, and these meetings are optional, but encouraged.

 

Most of the other homeschooling stuff I know about is pretty paper and pencil stuff: A Beka, Bob Jones, etc.  Even most of the video curriculums (like A Beka video) have worksheets and paper tests to back up the video component, although I'm sure you could write her answers for her.
