Hi All,
I feel like I'm missing something very basic and obvious, but I'm not
sure what it is.
I've installed the Chrome browser on a windows 8.1 machine. As soon as I
signed in to my Google Account, the browser started talking and
producing the various ChromeVox sounds, so I think the ChromeVox
extension was installed for me automatically. Just to make sure, I went
to the app store, and I didn't find anything that sounded like an
Install/download link or button.
The problem I'm having is that I only get spoken feedback when I tab or
shift+tab. Nothing else I do produces speech. for example, I'm trying to
go through the ChromeVox tutorial. It tells me there are commands for X,
Y, and Z and instructs me to arrow down for more information. but when I
do, I get no speech. I've tried alt+ctrl+down-arrow, ctrl+z followed by
down-arrow, and down-arrow by itself, but no speech.
I've got the list of commands, so I've tried a few, but the only ones
that work are tab and shift+tab. I've even tried alt+ctrl+period for
Help without success.
What am I forgetting to do?
This is the same problem I remember having before.
Ciao
