I have posted more than once about this same issue, with continued
frustration. I even had a neighbor who is a tech come over and he
installed both 32 and 64 bit versions of flash, and I know damn well
that they are there, but I would still go to some sites, and get the
same feedback as did you. I finally went to the VA site that handles
our on line training. One think that it does is to do a system check to
make sure that you have the supported browser, Java, Flash, and other
plugins and add ons that it wants to see. It told me that my add ons
and plugins were being hidden by the browser, and that I should make
sure that active X is enabled in IE's internet options under tools. I
did this, and so far, Flash is working as it is supposed to.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Flash problem
I am running Internet Explorer 9, under Windows 7, 64-bit, and have
Adobe Flash version 11.3.300.265 installed, or at least this is what
shows in the Control Panel. However, my favourite sites which use Flash
do not seem to think this is true, and I am given the option of getting
Flash. However, this link takes me to the version I already have. Even
updateflash.org, from Ninite, is not picking up my correct Flash
version, telling me I instead have version 0.0.0. This is very
frustrating and I'm hoping someone has a suggestion as to how to fix the
problem.
