I usually run gmail in html mode. In that case inside each message are
links for Reply, Reply all, Forward, Print and something else. The
Print link will do as described below and print only the text of the
message.

Resulting type is pretty small. I might do a Ctrl A and copy the
contents to soemthing else if I need bigger type.

Best

What are you ysing to print? At the top of the page of
the email, where is a printer icon. Click on it and print preview
comes up. Only the email comes up, nothing of the lefty gmail menu
comes up,

I use Gmail with Windows XP; when I want to print an email
response or message, there is a menuof all my email folders on
the left side of the screen. How can I get rid of these when
printing copies of messages please?
      Many thanks,
