Sure. I know perfectly well there are updates to JAWS past JAWS 11. 
Unfortunately the pointed headed pencil-necked budget geeks attached to 
the public location where I can use JAWS 11 did not think to buy the 
license with upgrade option.

I can see how they feel about installing NVDA. I can try NVDA at home. 
The point is the most current software version CANNOT be assumed in 
lots of real world situations.

But thanks for the tip and I will add trying Google Chrome to my to-do 
list.

It's supposed to work reasonably well with NVDA, but I haven't done much
more with it than just dabble, so although I believe that's the case, I
can't swear by it.

Also, be careful about basing the current state of Chrome and JAWS with
what it was just a short while ago. Google has put out quite a few
updates recently and I know they've put some effort into accessibility
and working with the different accessibility frameworks across multiple
platforms. Also, there have been a few updates to JAWS since JAWS 11.

If you're interested in Chrome's accessibility, and you're tired of IE
and Firefox, then give it a try and see what it's current state of
accessibility is with JAWS, Window Eyes, NVDA, System Access or Orca.
