I highly highly recommend EdSharp, a blind-friendly text editor written by 
Jamal Mazrui,  a blind individual who is a programmer himself.  It is 
available at:

hi list

any folks know of a blind friendly text editor for writing computer
programs.
back in the day i used spfpc.
notepad is ok, but does not break lines and wordpad is ok unless the lines
get too long.
