Harry,

what you have to understand is that what you are finding as a problem is 
not Vista, or whatever the next OS is, but that it is a change from the 
way you are doing things now.

When I was forced into using a windows machine way back when, I thought it 
was the most horrid thing I could imagine.  All those damn menus and 
everything.  Why couldn't I just type in the names of files or 
directories, what a mess.

Now I use Windows with very little trouble.  I am sure that Vista will be 
a major adjustment for me as well.  I am sure that I will get used to it, 
just like all those sighted folks out there have to get used to a slightly 
different look and feel as well.

Guess what, visually impaired folks who just start using computers now, 
who will only ever see Vista, will learn how to use it, and if you were to 
then put them in front of a Windows XP box, would complain about such a 
clunky interface.

Don't fear the change Harry, embrace it.  Like they say, you can keep up 
with technology, or be run down by it.
