lDid you have him search for words such as "error," "please," "invalid" 
"try again," and things like that?
I find that what happens often in situations like this (for me, at least) 
is that I placed an invalid entry and terms such as the above may point me 
to what I did wrong.
An example, in the above case, might be the manner in which the credit 
card number was entered (including or not including spaces as an example) 
or his phone number.
