Hello Stan and other interested persons.

I have only seen the K-NFB Reader in action wile a fully sighted person
demoed the unit. To say the least it worked great and waht a price tag

as with any other aide as pricy as this one is you would deffinetly want to
test drive before you buy. Being parcially sighted I would be able to ketch
onto how to line up the unit to take a proper picture. The unit does give
voice cues to aide the user in lining up the shot.

Below is the review by AFB FOR Access World.

Subject: [VICUG-L] the Kurzweil-NFB reader

: Does anyone have experience with the Kurzweil-NFB reader? Or do you know
: anyone who does and do you know what their experience is?
:
:
: What level of accuracy would you give it?
:
: Does it do a good job of reading text on a flat piece of paper? What
about
: a book page? or how about a can of soup? What about sales slips from a
: drug or grocery store?
:
: I would appreciate any info.
:
: Thanks
