Linda, the best advice I can give you traveling with an electric scooter is, don't.  Tne airlines will simply tear it up.  You can rent one in Orlando, I think, pretty cheaply.  I've heard horror stories of people flying with powerchairs and scooters, and the results, shall we say, left more to be desired.
