I imagine Rabbi's (and doctors), being human, are at risk of being swayed by
parents wishes and hopes. Doctors (even Jewish doctors) are in a perceived
bind by the Hippocratic Oath, too.
Interesting question:
Is it a more egregious example of "playing G-d" to put a patient with this
diagnosis on a respirator, or to take the patient off the respirator?
This is a q for a dayan not me:)
Both must me thought out well before hand re ones oblications one enters
with ones actions.
