Subject: Re: [VICUG-L] What Does Collapse Mean?

If you hear the word "collapse" while you're arrowing through your messages
in Outlook Express, it means OE has grouped your messages into conversations
(i.e., put all the messages with the same subjectline together). That can be
helpful because you can read all list messages on a given subject all at
once by expanding the conversation, but it can also be annoying because you
don't necessarily catch the new messages that have been added to the thread
since you last checked.

To correct the problem:

1. Hit alt+tab to shift focus out of an open message.

2. Hit alt+v to get into the Outlook Express View menu.

3. Hit the right arrow key once to get into the Current View submenu.

4. Up arrow until you hear your screen reader say, "Group Messages by
Conversation." That will probably be checked. Press enter to uncheck that.

Your problem should be solved. Outlook Express collapses messages from time
to time. I'm thinking there's a hot key we press without knowing.
