the contiguous states have any exposure or experience with her.   The
other candidates, by way of comparison, have be been on very public display
for many years.  The motive can be as simple to find out something from the
people that have been affected by her first hand; when's the last
time you heard a "man on the street" interview from anyone from in Alaska?
