Hi

Thanks for your quick responses. One person suggested it was the flu...but
I've had no further symptoms. A few others suggested food poisoning. I
should have mentioned that we ate family style so others shared the food and
no one else had the reaction I did.

Many people said they've had the same experience as a gluten reaction,
frequently after they've been gluten free for a period of time and then
accidentally ingest gluten.

I've been GF for a year and change and have had all sorts of different
reactions to gluten, which makes it hard for me to tell what is and what
isn't a gluten reaction. Sometimes I have no reaction at all--for example,
once I went to a Peruvian restaurant and ordered a dish I was familiar with
being able to eat. It was amazing, so after the meal I asked what was in it.
My stomach sank when I heard the server say, "soy sauce." However, I felt
fine that evening and the next day. Another time I accidentally popped a
noodle into my mouth when I was making the kids regular mac 'n' cheese at my
mom-in-laws. No reaction. But sometimes I feel fatigued. Or depressed. Or
physical symptoms. Or I feel bad and I don't know if it is because I got
cross contamination and didn't realize it or because I just feel bad. It is
so confusing and frustrating.

Thanks again for your responses and the chance to vent my confusion.

cris
