Sam's does the same thing. Their roasted chicken actually has "chicken
flavoring" - HUH? It consisted of skim milk powder, and other stuff. Now why
on earth does a chicken need chicken flavoring???

Actually these chickens are shot full of other things (quoting from their
website)
(THIGH AND DRUMSTICK PORTIONS CONTAINING UP TO 17% OF A SOLUTION OF WATER,
SEASONING [SALT, SUGAR, MALTODEXTRIN, NATURAL FLAVOR, MODIFIED CORN
STARCH, CHICKEN BROTH, AUTOLYZED YEAST, SOY LECITHIN, GELATIN], SODIUM
PHOSPHATE),
therefore:
msg (at least 3 sources), salt, sugar (2 kinds), soy
Most of the supermarket deli roasted chickens are the same. I stopped
eating them.
