This is why I'm concerned about the Supreme Court and the funeral protest case. The first amendment issues are something that will have to be sorted out. Although the Roberts court seems to be steering clear of large issues. There was an interesting article on that in the 9/22 issue of Time Magazine, which I picked up yesterday at the doctors office. Read at the end of this article the "church's" appeal intentions. Here's a link to the Time article, too. There are links embedded therer to other articles that might be of interest as well. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1670489-1,00.html [image: The New York Times] <http://www.nytimes.com/> [image: E-mail This] <http://www.nytimes.com/adx/bin/adx_click.html?type=goto&page=www.nytimes.com/yr/mo/day/us&pos=TopRight-EmailThis&camp=foxsearch2007-emailtools02b-nyt5-511278&ad=chevalier_88x31_nowb.gif&goto=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Efoxsearchlight%2Ecom%2Fthedarjeelinglimited%2F> *NATIONAL * | November 2, 2007 *To Marine's Father, Suit Is More Than Money <http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/02/us/02protest.html?ex=1194667200&en=b83ef67907729b95&ei=5070&emc=eta1> * By MELODY SIMMONS The father of a marine killed in Iraq has said the success of his suit against a fundamentalist sect that picketed his son's funeral means more than the jury's damage award.
