Hi Tom,

the conventional setting just identifies itself as C on the menu 19
settings.  It is the next to last if I remember rightly.

Also, if you are testing at low power, you will not know for sure if you
have RFI from high power or not.

Now you've got me. ... I haven't found the "conventional" setting in menu 19
on the TS480, but might have somehow missed it.

Will check the next time I'm down in the shack.

Will also keep playing with the various settings, using the monitor function
and headphones as you suggest.

Perhaps the best setting for me will become very evident.
