Ray,

I use Outlook Express and have a working Hotmail account. I'm still using XP
and Office 2003, so I'm not sure if this helps you.

In the Servers page, my Servers URL is

http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp

The Properties pages are very different, much simpler than the ones for my
other accounts. For example, there isn't an authentication checkbox or any
of the port numbers that appear in the properties pages for my SBC Global
account or for another account connected to work.

the mail doesn't come directly into my inbox, but rather goes into a
separate Hotmail Folder.

Ciao
