The next quarterly meeting of Alamo GIG in Austin is April 16, 2008.
We will be meeting at Faith Lutheran Church. We have an exciting
program planned. We will hear from Georgia Hutton of Gluten-Free
Kneads. She will tell us about the new products they are introducing
and provide samples.

As you know we are preparing for the GIG national conference in June.
We would like to have a Texas themed gifts from local celiac groups
available for the auction. If each person attending the meeting can
bring one Texas themed item, we can make a gift basket for the
auction. The items do not need to be expensive or elaborate. They
need to be fun, Texas themed and something that would make you want to
bid on the basket.

Also, it is time to clean out those closets. If you have gifts that
you will never use or gifts that you bought for someone and never got
around to giving it to them, donate it to the auction. I can take any
donations that you have at the meeting. The key to a good auction
item is not the size or the price. It is something that will entice
bidding.

Please bring a gluten free snack to share. It is important that
included with each snack is a listing of ingredients. Some of our
members need to avoid more than just gluten. If the recipe is either
original or has been changed at least 3 times, please bring the
recipe. We can publish these recipes in the recipe exchange section
of our monthly newsletter.

If you have any questions about the meeting or need information on the
location, please contact Francie Kelley at [log in to unmask] or
