We spend several months a year in Bluffton, SC, a few miles from Hilton Head. Three restaurants on Hilton Head that I can recommend for Gluten Free eating are: Charley's Crab - no gf menu, but the manager, Mike, is very aware of what is safe. None of the starches are gf, but if you call in advance, they will prepare delicious gf grits to go with your meal. It's a quiet atmosphere with a beautiful view. Some good early bird selections. Great fish. Kingfisher - I order the steak on the early bird without any sauces. It's very good. They are less knowledgeable than Charley's Crab, but cooperative. Also great view. Cranes - They know exactly what is safe and will check with the chef to be sure. Great early bird. Very pleasant atmosphere with excellent staff. If anyone else is aware of other restaurants on Hilton Head that will meet gf needs, please let me know. Laurie
