<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>

Hello friends,

I need to find a really good gastro person to see who is also affiliated within a group so that other specialists can be referred to. I have seen two doctors in chicago and neither are on my insurance plan.  I have united health care choice plus and as you know I have anti-gliadin anti-bodies and severe lactose intolerance. I have had 100 tests done and no one finds anything, except one doctor says maybe mast cells?? I am on a liqud diet at this point, that is gluten and lactose free and that is the only symptom relief I have had since 2003.  I am in really intense pain, and none of my local doctors know who to send me to -- except they say Mayo -- but Mayo is not on my plan, and I don't know if Cleveland is either?  I really do not even know at this point if it is from the food intolerance, or if something else, but I still think gastro is the best place to start since it is eating that triggers my symptoms. I have seen local gastro
person several times, and nothing turns up.  I saw a person at Rush that I liked, but it will require more intense study and they are not on my plan.  So, I would appreciate any help anyone in Chicago might have, or if Chicago isn't good, somewhere else that is comprehensive would be important to know.  Of course my insurance plan can not make any recommendations other that go down there list of 1000s of gastros.  I asked them for a comprehensive clinic and they acted as if they didn't understand what I was even talking about.  We are in bad share in our country with health care, but that is another story - right? Taking all suggestions.

Thanks,
Denise
