On September 7, the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing will begin.
There are hundreds of athletes competing in different events from
countries around the globe. Like the Olympians, the Paralympians
have trained for years. This is their chance to see their dreams
come true. It is also our chance to watch fellow members of the
disabled community as they realize their dreams.

Unlike the Olympics, however, there is currently not any United
States Television coverage planned for the Paralympic Games. In
Australia, over 100 hours of the Paralympic Games will be covered on
ABC1 and ABC2 (Australian Broadcast Company)

We would like to ask the members of this group to please write
letters to the different US television networks, asking them to
provide at least a few hours of Paralympic television coverage.
Below is the contact information for different television networks.

We would also like to ask you to please pass this message along to
any and all groups, whether disability-oriented or not, that might
be interested in participating in this letter writing campaign.

Thank you for your participation. If enough of us speak up, our
voices may be heard. This is our chance to cheer on fellow members
of our community. Let's not let it pass us by!
