Hi Wally,
There seems to be quite a few mouse studies of various facets of leptin,
but I have a copy of a 2005 study that explores
SLEEP LOSS, INSULIN RESISTANCE, AND TYPE 2 DIABETES and their work
suggests that sleep loss is a significant
contributor to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
