Fred,
I bought three of these
Classco 500 Talking Caller ID.
There are two models the 500 and another one.  Got mine for about $20 each. 
Very simple, only two buttons.  Remembers the last ten calls.  The 500's I 
have don't do anything but date, time, and number.

I'm sure you can find them on the web.
