HESPDA. I mean His Excellency Sheikh Professor Doctor Alhaji. Haruna,
whats in your MQJGDT(??) :)
Titles aside, the government must not encourage land grabbing in the
name of investment.

Nigerian investor eyes farming in Gambia

Following a successful business forum organized by the Gambia Tourism
Authority (GTA) in collaboration with the Gambia Hotel Association.
Virgin Nigeria in partnership with Gambia Chambers of Commerce and
Industry (GCCI) and Compass Consulting, recently at the Sheraton Resort
and Spa, Brufut, His Royal Majesty Oba T Adetunji Akinloye, Ojomu of
Ajiran Land, Lagos, Nigeria, and CEO of Akin Sateru Farms, who was one
of the participants, has expressed his full interest to invest in
farming in The Gambia.
His Majesty Oba Adetunji, an agriculturist who is into livestock farming
particularly poultry, fisheries, among others, said in an interview with
reporters that he is interested to invest in poultry and fisheries in
The Gambia. He revealed his willingness to collaborate with livestock
farmers or anyone who is ready to go into livestock farming.
In supporting government development plans on the farming sector, he
said he would like to work with the government in the area of farming
and if possible, by bringing more qualified hands into the sector. He
applauded the government of The Gambia for the worthy living and
peaceful environment created for both citizens and non-citizens alike in
the country. He said “The Gambia is a small country but peaceful.
Anywhere, where there is peace, then there is enough room for development.”
He gave kudos to the government for the investment opportunity open to
everyone and quickly advised Nigerians living in the country to be more
enterprising, by venturing into legitimate business that will maintain
their standard so as to enable them to move along with the hospitality
accorded them.
