I had a total thyroidectomy about three years due to nodules that were obstructing my windpipe. **I had plantar fascitis for 4 years. It caused me to limp from foot pain, and the feet really stung like needles whenever I got out of bed. Also hurt from sitting too long.
**The "plantar fascitis" went away on Armour Thyroid. My wife's feet were swollen and painful, that also went away with adequate thyroid treatment.
**It pays to get a doctor that actually knows what they're doing. If he doesn't prescribe Armour or T3, then he's a "one treatment fits all" type doctor and is only capable of treating simple thyroid problems, and many are more complicated.
All the problems you mention could be from an inadequately treated thyroid. But, be aware that symptoms from hyperthyroid and hypothyroid overlap, and sometimes an issue can be a symptom for either. But, all the symptoms you mention can be hypo symptoms. Weight gain is a well known one, as is hair loss. shakiness or panic attacks can also be low thyroid.
