Hi
I have polyglandular syndrome with Pernicious Anemia,
Hypothyroidism (on full replacement Thyroxin), Asthma
and Celiac's Disease.

My condition is a familial problem, with about 6 out
of ten of my siblings affected and now two of my
children appear to have it.

Our teenage daughter, aged 15 years, presented
recently with hyperthyroidism but now she needs
anti-depressantas etc for being totally down and out.

Are there many teenagers on this list who appear to
swing between hyper and hypo thyroidism or parents of
teenagers who have this problem and can give me some
advice on coping with it all?

I'd really like some information on depression/thyroid
disorder links as it may help us to manage with our
daughter.

regards
Louise
